UK Curly Girl's Top 8 Favourite SheaMoisture Products

UKCurlyGirl's Top 8 Favourite SheaMoisture Products

I am a huge fan of the SheaMoisture natural hair products and have been ever since starting my natural hair journey back in 2014. I was first introduced to them by hair bloggers like SunKissAlba and HeyFranHey along with the many hair blogs I read, they all seemed to mention this 1 product which was the ‘Curl Enhancing Smoothie’ so I HAD to get my hands on it.

It worked for me whilst transitioning and then the ‘Jamaican Black Castor Oil’ line dropped and it was a WRAP! I had finally found a staple leave-in conditioner that worked perfectly for my hair type.

Since then I have been able to try a whole bunch of products from their many lines! Since their are so many to chose from, I managed to pick my top 8 favourite SheaMoisture products, check them out below.

1. Jamaican Black Castor Oil Leave-in Conditioner

Like I mentioned above, this is my staple leave-in conditioner and I use it as a sort of hair “primer” to jumpstart any hair style I create and before applying any kind of gel, smoothie, custard or curl cream to get the best results. I love that it comes in a tub so I can apply it generously with ease and the consistency is perfect for my hair.

2. Jamaican Black Castor Oil Shampoo

Another great product from the JBCO line is the shampoo which is infused in apple cider vinegar and peppermint, which are both great natural ingredients that help to soothe the scalp and get rid of dandruff and bacteria/product build up. I have a dry itchy scalp to this helps to keep in balanced and clears any build up I may have over the week. I only recommend using it once a week or every other week if your hair doesn’t need a deep cleanse.

3. Jamaican Black Castor Oil Treatment Masque

Popular amongst many naturals! This masque is a smooth consistency really easy to apply to damp hair during the deep conditioning stage and I find it penetrates the hair well keeping it moisturised for longer! It also helps to promote hair growth, so use it weekly for best results.

4. Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Multi Benefit Masque

This may just be my favourite masque out of the many amazing SheaMoisture masques! It just always revamps my curls making them stronger and enhances definition. I love the sweet scent and it is quite thick in texture keeping your hair moisturised whilst deep conditioning. It has so many amazing Super-fruits and vitamins that ensure healthier, longer hair.

5. Raw Shea & Cupuacu Conditioner

I never really praise rinse out conditioners as I just feel that they are usually very generic and you rinse them out so not much they can really do, right? With this products I was WRONG! I immediately felt that my hair was smoother, softer and moisturised straight after rinsing, it was as if I didn’t even need to follow up with a deep conditioner or leave-in product. This line is amazing for those who suffer from frizz and dryness.

6. Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Masque

Definitely one for the winter! This masque right here is my dry hair winter must-have due to the natural honey which is a humectant keeping in moisture and the oils help to seal and heal your hair! This line is also a part of their ‘Community Commerce’ initiative where 10% of sales go towards the women in Africa that provide SheaMoisture with their Shea Butter.

7. Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Shampoo

Another shampoo worth trying for dry hair is this extra moisturising Manuka Honey shampoo. OMG your hair will feel so nice after rinsing this baby out and it is the perfect combination with the above masque for winter/colder months.

8. Sacha Inchi Oil Omega 3,6,9 Curl Defining Smoothie

Last but by no means least! This is a product I was first introduced to when shopping in Miami and I was not disappointed AT ALL it really makes me want to try the other smoothies from the brand because this right here gave my curls probably the best definition I have ever recieved from 1 product alone! I never use this with another product and I still get the most moisturised, defined curls EVER. Definitely a close favourite with the JBCO leave-in.

So those are just my top 8 products that I thought were definitely worth a mention and for you guys to try.

There are so many other amazing lines from the brand suitable for all hair types!
