How To Make Your Own 100% Natural Hair Gel
You may have heard the news regarding ingredients in many hair products created for "Black Hair" and how dangerous they can be for your health.
Naturals all over the internet have shared their mixed opinions on the topic, and the famous 'Eco Styler Gel' got caught in the wildfire. Whether you believe the hype or not, I have created a tutorial for you to make your own DIY 100% natural hair gel that is safe and works great for natural hair.
Check out the steps below!
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Place your water into the pot and follow with the flaxseeds. Turn the hob to medium heat until the water begins to boil.
After around 20 minutes the water will create white froth and the texture of the liquid will be thicker (like a snot texture *eww*).
Turn the heat off and put the pot aside to cool down for 30-40 minutes.
Pull your tights/sock over your measuring jar and begin to pour the gel into the tights.
Squeeze the sock downwards until all of the gel seeps through. You will then be left with the gel and no seeds in your mixture.
Place the gel into your empty bottle, shake it up and you are good to go!
I managed to get 2 travel sized bottles full of this gel mixture and was so amazed with how well it took to my hair. I trialed the gel on my curls alone and loved the definition but it did leave some crunch. I will give it another go with a leave-in conditioner underneath to test if I can combat the crunch (not a fan of gels as stylers anyway).
For sleeking I LOVED this flaxseed gel, the fact that I know it is 100% natural, no chemical I can be sure that I won't be damaging my weaker hairs.
If you are a fan of affordable and safe natural hair care I hope you enjoyed this post.
