Natural Curly Hair Products Available In Boots UK!
The curly hair revolution has arrived! I never thought I would see the day that my favourite hair brands would ALL be available in Boots and Superdrug BUT I was wrong, if you follow me on Instagram you will know that last week I had the shock of my life when walking past the hair product aisle.
I witnessed the shelves fully stocked with even more natural hair brands, SheaMoisture, Cantu, ORS have been available in these stores for the past year or so now so that wasn’t a shock BUT when I noticed ‘CAMILLE ROSE NATURALS’ and ‘ECO STYLER GEL’ I was so shocked and excited for me and all of my UK followers!
We no longer have to hop on a plane and ball out at Target or Walgreens (something I would always do lol) when arriving in the U.S, don’t get me wrong there are still many products and brands not yet over here but this is a HUGE improvement!
However I still find it odd that online these products are STILL sectioned off in a header called ‘Black, Afro & Textured Hair’ we still have a way to go with that one, but hey baby steps..
Check out the products below that are now available in Boots and I would recommend trying from the large variety.
A naturals curly classic for when it comes to sleeking hair, this is the one go-to gel on the market! With a variety of versions (Olive oil, Coconut oil, Jamaican black castor oil my personal fav and the latest Sativa oil). Although they had controversy last year regarding their ingredients which I even covered in one of my YouTube videos - they have since addressed this issue and ensured that all ingredients are safe. To combat this I guess this is why they have launched a new collection of actual styling products from leave-in conditioners to oil.
I picked up the leave-in conditioner (which I was happy to see it came in a tub!). Yet to try but I will be sharing my results when I do.
Camille Rose Naturals
This biggest shock of all!!! Getting your hands on this popular natural hair brand has always been a struggle (and high in price when buying them from UK retailers). Now we can get points and offers on Camille.
They have products from their classic collection and even some from the coconut water collection! I had my eyes set on the one product I had tried and loved before which is the ‘Curl Love Hair Milk’ and to compliment it I thought I would give the ‘Aloe Whipped Butter Gel’ a try too. My results from this combo were AMAZING! So stay tuned for the details on that ;)
Pantene Gold Collection
I am yet to try these products as I am a sceptic and for some reason, I just feel like my hair won’t like them, BUT now that they are easily accessible I may just give them a try on my next spree. They have also been posted all over social media so I am interested to try for myself, (I’ll be sure to spill the real tea when I do).
Garnier Ultimate Blends Hair Food
Although not in the specific aisle for natural hair products, these are quickly becoming a trend within the natural hair community, with everyone giving them a try. The price is hard to ignore with each product being just £6.99!
I am a deep conditioner JUNKIE so the excitement has been real. I had to do some research on the ingredients but what I loved was that they break them down on the packaging so well! I guess the Garnier team have done their research on us naturals.
Classic!! The go-to oils for hair growth are now available, the perfect add on to any 3 for 2 offers they may have running. I recommend the versions that have added scent just to mask the strong black castor oil smell less in your face (it’s very smokey).
Creme Of Nature
I tried this honey collection last year and was surprised! The styling products weren’t’ the most moisturising of products but the masque was really enjoyable to use. Really happy to see this collection out of them all to be available.
Palmers natural hair products I am still yet to be a huge fan of, I have tested their new ‘Natural Fusions’ range and enjoyed the shampoo and masque was amazing! The styling products just weren’t moisturising enough for my hair type but another brand to give a try if you want to experiment! Currently they haven’t got the fruit fusion line online but they do have the coconut oil and olive oil formula lines.
I think ORS may have been one of the first brands available in this aisle and they even stock the relaxer (eek) but if you are a fan they also have the ‘Curls Unleashed’ line of products so I am sure you’ll be happy to see this next time you pass by!
The first EVER hair product that I tried for my hair type back when their was nothing here for me in the UK. I literally remember the struggle me and my mum would go through just to find a product moisturising enough and with hold to keep my curls in place, frizz free and flake free. I even feel emotional at the thought that their now is so much available and not to toot my own horn but I also feel responsible as I have been a small part of this community that has helped to make this now a reality!
Back to the main point! Mixed Chicks is also available in Boots, although I am not a fan of it over the other products I have managed to find that work amazingly for my hair.
Again, these have been available in Boots for years now! I even spoke at the launch event as I am such a huge fan of the brand and products. We haven’t had any new collection launches yet so I pray this year we have some of the MANY that our U.S friends have access to.
I always feel a way about this brand but did enjoy some of their styling products! I feel that they really tried to copy Shea which is a shame but they haven’t really taken off since being available for probably over a year now. However this is definitely a brand to add to your wish-list.
Cantu has been stocked in both Superdrug and Boots for a good while now, but for those who may not be aware I had to list it too.
This brand was one of the OG’s and has been available for a long time, now they have rebranded and as you can see are available and easily accessible again.
So that is it, we now have the pleasure of walking in to our local Boots and picking up hair products that will work for us! Look out for deals, currently they had buy 2 get 1 free and you receive points on your Boots card (yass) I ended up spending £40 on 4 full sized natural hair products, (not bad).
