To create this style you will need,

  • Flexi rods

  • Leave-In Conditioner

  • Setting lotion/mousse

  • Spray bottle with water

Products used:

STEP 1

Section off the front of your hair (it make look waaay to long at first) but with the technique I am going to teach you, your hair will shrink and you’ll achieve the fringe look.

STEP 2

Spritz the section with some water (dampen) DO NOT soak with dripping water as it will take the style longer to set and dry  - We want quick and easy results

STEP 3

Apply a dime sized (yes the only time I am condoning dime sized lol) amount of leave-in conditioner to that section and smooth through with your fingers (or a comb if you prefer).

STEP 4

Section a smaller section (within that section of hair lol) and apply some of the setting lotion/mouse and smooth through.

STEP 5

Place a flexi rod next to the root of that section and twist the top of the section tightly around the flexi rod downwards until the whole section of hair is wrapped around the rod smoothly.

STEP 6

Bend the top of the rod downwards and the bottom of the rod upwards, to secure the hair.

STEP 7

Repeat steps 4 to 6 to the remainder of the hair at the front.

STEP 8

Leave this section to dry for 30 minutes (maybe even shorter) the key is to feel the hair and you don’t want it to be wet, you’ll get best results when the hair is dry.

STEP 9

Gently open the top and bottom of the rod and from the ends upwards unravel the hair around the rod and you should get a shrunken perfect looking curl.

STEP 10

Take down all of the rods. If the fringe is still long, scrunch it in the palms of your hand upwards.

STEP 11

Separate each curl in 2 and the fringe will look more realistic and there you have it!
